At SIF-WIC 2025, Indian entrepreneur Raj Shamani spotlighted emotional ROI, trust, and digital storytelling as the new capital of the global economy.
SHARJAH: Indian entrepreneur and social media icon Raj Shamani brought youthful insight and entrepreneurial grit to the Sharjah Investment Forum – World Investment Conference 2025, in a fireside chat that explored the transformation of influence into capital. With over 13 million subscribers on YouTube, Shamani offered a compelling case for emotional ROI as the true currency of digital entrepreneurship.
Titled “From Content to Capital: How the Digital Generation Is Shaping Global Investments,” the session was moderated by Big Hass, a prominent UAE-based radio host and creative community advocate. Together, they unpacked the mindset shifts driving a new era of purpose-led, globally connected business.
“For creators, every post is a deposit into a bank of credibility,” Shamani explained. “Today’s generation isn’t chasing only financial ROI. We want emotional ROI—trust, purpose, and belonging.” He shared how his journey began recording podcasts in his bedroom and evolved into building global investment networks, not by chasing virality, but by focusing on clarity, learning and teaching.
Shamani’s advice to young creators was rooted in authenticity. “Earlier, relationships were forged in boardrooms. Now, they’re built online. But the foundation remains the same: trust. Content creators today are not competing with traditional business—they’re building entire industries around creativity, education and connection.”
He drew comparisons between Indian and Arab entrepreneurial values, underlining the regional importance of authenticity and purpose. “The UAE is no longer a stopover—it’s a launchpad. In the past, we had to go West to go global. Today, you come to the UAE and reach the world.”
The session concluded with an optimistic vision of capital in the digital age—one that prizes credibility, innovation, and community as much as revenue. Shamani affirmed, “Digital creators are not just influencers. We are investors in trust, builders of ecosystems, and makers of new markets.”
Held in conjunction with WIC 2025, this year’s SIF forum brought together over 10,000 participants from 142 countries under the theme “Transforming Our World: Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.” Organised by Invest in Sharjah, in partnership with WAIPA and the UAE Ministry of Investment, the event continues to position Sharjah as a leader in global investment dialogue.
