Sharjah will highlight its rich cultural and eco-tourism offerings at WTM London 2025, featuring Al Faya and key heritage sites.

SHARJAH: Sharjah is set to participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025 for the 22nd consecutive year, reaffirming its position as a global destination for cultural and sustainable tourism. Organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), the emirate’s presence at the international event will focus on promoting its heritage, eco-tourism experiences, and strategic travel initiatives.

Taking place from 4–6 November 2025, WTM London is among the travel industry’s most prominent gatherings, attracting more than 46,000 visitors and over 4,000 exhibitors from 180+ countries. Sharjah’s pavilion will include 19 public and private entities under one banner, promoting the emirate’s unique blend of history, nature, and hospitality.

A key highlight is Al Faya, a newly designated UNESCO World Heritage Site recognised for its archaeological significance and continuous human habitation spanning more than 200,000 years. This landmark will be showcased alongside eco-tourism gems such as the Wasit Wetland Reserve, Kalba Mangrove Reserve, and Sir Bu Nair Island—each contributing to Sharjah’s appeal as a nature-rich, environmentally conscious destination.

SCTDA’s participation aims to expand Sharjah’s global partnerships and foster new collaborations with key European markets. The authority is committed to providing visitors with culturally authentic and sustainable travel experiences that align with evolving global tourism trends.

The Sharjah delegation will include key government bodies and tourism stakeholders, such as Shurooq, Sharjah Museums Authority, Sharjah International Airport Authority, Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and top private sector representatives from hospitality, real estate, and travel sectors.

This effort supports Sharjah’s broader tourism strategy to enhance its international visibility, preserve its cultural identity, and promote responsible tourism practices in line with the emirate’s long-term vision.
