The UAE AI Office and Google launched ‘AI for All’ to train citizens with future-ready AI skills as part of a nationwide initiative.

DUBAI: The UAE’s Office of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, in partnership with Google, launched the “AI for All” initiative during the UAE Codes 2025 event. The programme aims to equip UAE residents with essential artificial intelligence skills, promoting inclusive access to AI tools and knowledge.

Powered by Google, this initiative will run throughout 2026, providing training on generative AI and prompt engineering, with a strong focus on responsible and safe usage. Courses will be tailored for students, professionals, SMEs, content creators, and educators. According to Public First, generative AI could add AED 298 billion to the UAE economy, underscoring the importance of building nationwide AI literacy.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, emphasised the UAE’s strategy to be a global leader in tech innovation and AI empowerment. He noted that this public-private collaboration with Google strengthens the country’s digital economy and societal readiness.

Anthony Nakache, Google MENA’s Managing Director, said the initiative aims to make AI benefits accessible to all. Through tools like Gemini 2.5, Google is enabling learners and businesses to adapt creatively and confidently to AI technologies.

A key focus of the initiative is supporting small and medium businesses with AI-powered solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. Google’s Arabic-language platform, Maharat min Google, continues to offer digital upskilling, having already trained over 430,000 people in the UAE.

The campaign will extend through a 2026 nationwide AI awareness programme and support the UAE Vision 2031 to become a leading AI hub. By 2027, Google’s MENA AI Opportunity Initiative aims to expand these benefits across the region.
