BEIJING: Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO of ADNOC, recently visited China to discuss boosting cooperation and growing ties between the two nations, UAE and China. This visit follows a successful state visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to China in May, which marked 40 years of UAE-China relations.

During the visit, UAE representatives met with key Chinese government officials and business leaders. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in areas such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, renewable energy, shipping, and storage. The UAE Ambassador to China also attended these meetings.

He conveyed greetings from the UAE leadership and expressed hopes for further progress and prosperity in China. They emphasized the strong relationship between the UAE and China, built on mutual respect and shared economic interests. China is a significant market for ADNOC’s oil and petrochemical products, and the UAE is committed to being a reliable energy supplier to China.

Several strategic agreements were signed during the visit. These included deals to build large ethane and ammonia carriers, and collaborations in low-carbon solutions, liquefied natural gas, oil and gas exploration, and new energy opportunities.
