Albania awarded the UAE firefighting team for its crucial role in extinguishing recent wildfires and supporting humanitarian operations.
TIRANA: The government of Albania has formally honoured the United Arab Emirates’ rescue team for its vital contributions in battling recent devastating wildfires across the country. The recognition reflects growing international cooperation in crisis response and highlights the UAE’s increasing leadership in global humanitarian missions.
At a special ceremony attended by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and top military officials, international firefighting and rescue teams — including the UAE delegation — were praised for their swift and effective actions in helping bring the blazes under control. The event recognised the efforts of more than 10,000 personnel who participated in the operation.
The UAE rescue team in Albania played a significant role in containment, relief, and emergency support operations, underscoring the UAE’s longstanding commitment to global disaster response.
