The UAE will join Saudi Arabia in celebrating the Kingdom’s 94th National Day on 23rd September, highlighting the strong, brotherly relations between the two nations. The deep and complementary ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia have formed a solid foundation for Gulf and regional cooperation, fostering stability and growth in the region.

The relationship between the two countries began with the efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and grew into a comprehensive partnership under their successors. Today, the bond continues to flourish under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
These close ties have positively influenced economic, trade, and development sectors. Over the past decade, non-oil trade between the UAE and Saudi Arabia has grown significantly, with a 69 percent increase from AED79.9 billion in 2013 to AED135 billion in 2023. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over this period was 5.4 percent, with trade totalling AED1.032 trillion.
In the first half of 2024, trade between the two countries reached $17.53 billion, a 22.50 percent growth compared to 2023. UAE’s exports to Saudi Arabia rose by 10.26 percent, while imports from Saudi Arabia also saw a notable increase.

The Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, established in 2016, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and advance the economic system between the two nations. Tourism and cultural exchanges further boost ties, reflecting the deep historical, social, and geographical connection between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
As Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day, the Kingdom is undergoing a significant transformation with the launch of “Saudi Vision 2030,” a key initiative driving national development.
