AL DHAFRA: Martina Strong, the United States Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, visited the 21st edition of the Liwa Dates Festival, currently underway in the Al Dhafra Region. Her visit highlighted the festival’s growing global appeal and cultural significance.
Ambassador Strong expressed heartfelt admiration for the unique festival, which showcases the country’s deep-rooted traditions and the various uses of the iconic palm tree. “It’s a truly impressive event that gives valuable insight into Emirati heritage,” she remarked, noting her appreciation for the traditional crafts and culinary experiences available at the venue.
