The UAE and Greece signed two MoUs to strengthen transparency and anti-corruption cooperation, boosting joint oversight systems.

ABU DHABI: In a key move to enhance international cooperation, the UAE Accountability Authority has formalised two new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Greece’s Hellenic Court of Audit and National Transparency Authority. The agreements are designed to strengthen bilateral ties in oversight, transparency and anti-corruption efforts.

Led by Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, the delegation visited Greece to reinforce collaboration and exchange of auditing best practices. This initiative supports the UAE’s ongoing strategy to align with global standards in integrity and public accountability.

The MoUs aim to facilitate training, knowledge sharing, and joint projects focused on building institutional capacities to fight corruption. These agreements reaffirm the shared vision between the UAE and Greece on the need for collaborative frameworks to tackle cross-border corruption and uphold ethical governance.

The move also reflects the long-standing partnership between the two nations in promoting transparent governance. Both the UAE and Greece have committed to furthering their cooperation through practical steps that help elevate international oversight frameworks and build stronger institutions globally.
