UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Russia’s President Putin met in the Kremlin to reinforce bilateral ties, signing a Trade in Services & Investment Agreement (TISIA) and a land‑transport MoU—boosting cooperation in fintech, healthcare, logistics, professional services, and more.


MOSCOW: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, met with President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin today during an official visit to Russia. The meeting focused on deepening the long-standing strategic partnership between the two nations, touching upon regional and global issues as well as cooperative opportunities in key economic sectors.

The leaders reviewed expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, space, and the broader economy—highlighting progress built on mutual trust and more than half a century of constructive relations. Additionally, they exchanged perspectives on geopolitical developments and affirmed the UAE’s ongoing endorsement of diplomatic approaches to foster peace and stability.

At the conclusion of the talks, two major agreements were signed:

  • Trade in Services and Investment Agreement (TISIA): Defines joint opportunities in sectors such as fintech, healthcare, logistics, and professional services, and complements the UAE–EAEU Economic Partnership.
  • Land Transport Memorandum of Understanding (MoU): Paves the way for enhanced infrastructural collaboration, signed by UAE Minister of Energy & Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and Russian Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin.

The ceremony was accompanied by a formal welcome, national anthems, and a state luncheon hosted by President Putin. Following the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed departed Moscow aboard a military-escorted flight to reaffirm the significance of the visit.
