ABU DHABI: The Explorers of Space platform at the UAE Pavilion in Expo 2025 Osaka is drawing major global attention by showcasing the UAE’s bold space ambitions. From the Hope Probe that reached Mars to the Rashid lunar rover and future asteroid plans, the pavilion offers a deep dive into the nation’s fast-growing space journey.

A major highlight is Space42, the UAE’s pioneering space tech firm and the official partner of the Space Explorers zone. As the pavilion sponsor, it’s curating cutting-edge content under the theme “From Earth to Ether.” The company is redefining space innovation by blending satellite tech, AI, and geospatial analytics into real-world solutions.

Space42’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sulaiman Al Ali, said the UAE’s leap from cultural legacy to future innovation reflects in Space42’s mission to bring space technology closer to communities. With over six satellites and services across 150+ countries, the company is developing next-gen connectivity and Earth-monitoring systems. Projects include the Thuraya-4 mobility satellite and the upcoming Yah 4 and Yah 5 for UAE government needs. Its radar satellite constellation is expected to be complete by 2027.

Adding a cultural spark, the pavilion also features a rocket sculpture made entirely from palm fronds (khoos), crafted over months by Emirati women artisans. The symbolic piece blends heritage with ambition—celebrating traditional artistry while pointing to the stars.

Through the Explorers of Space platform, the UAE hopes to not only showcase its tech prowess but inspire future generations, with Expo 2025 Osaka offering a global launchpad for deeper UAE-Japan cooperation and innovation.
