Jumbo Dubai Cares alliance deepens with AED 1 million donation, reinforcing its pledge to support global education initiatives.
Dubai: Jumbo Group has reaffirmed its dedication to global education with an AED 1 million contribution to Dubai Cares. This brings its total support to AED 8 million as part of a long-standing AED 10 million pledge made in 2007 by Chairperson Vidya Chhabria. The initiative honours the legacy of founder Shri Manohar Rajaram Chhabria and demonstrates the Group’s belief in education as a powerful force for progress.
The Jumbo Dubai Cares collaboration has grown steadily, evolving into a strong alliance that helps expand access to quality education for children and youth in developing nations. To date, Dubai Cares has positively impacted 116 million lives across 60 countries. Jumbo’s support plays a role in this transformative journey, rooted in a shared vision for a brighter, more inclusive future.
Over the past year, Jumbo extended its efforts by introducing Dubai Cares donation boxes across its Dubai stores. This customer-facing initiative integrates philanthropy into everyday retail, empowering the public to support education causes effortlessly.
“In the same spirit that has guided Jumbo over the past five decades, we continue to believe that education is the most powerful investment we can make for a better future,” stated Vikas Chadha, CEO of Jumbo Electronics Ltd.
His Excellency Dr. Tariq Al Gurg praised the partnership, saying, “Jumbo Group’s enduring partnership with Dubai Cares stands as a testament to how sustained private sector engagement can drive meaningful progress in advancing children’s right to education.”
Beyond Dubai Cares, Jumbo supports various community-driven projects, such as its partnership with Dubai Police on esports initiatives promoting digital literacy and responsible gaming.
Looking ahead, Jumbo Dubai Cares remains a beacon of how business and purpose can create lasting impact through innovation, education, and compassion.
