Dubai: Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the launch of a bold new addition to its flagship G-SHOCK line — the MRG-BF1000RG, a high-end diver’s watch that draws inspiration from the world’s largest amphibian, the goliath frog. The new model fuses cutting-edge functionality with nature-inspired aesthetics, solidifying Casio’s legacy in the world of adventure watches.
The MRG-BF1000RG is the latest in the FROGMAN series, known for its rugged shock resistance and ISO-certified 200-metre water resistance. Building upon the MRG-BF1000R released in 2023, the new edition retains the asymmetrical design that ensures freedom of wrist movement underwater, while introducing colours and details drawn from the West African goliath frog, known for its power and agility.
The khaki green fluoro rubber strap mimics the frog’s earthy back, offering durability and comfort for divers. The beige hour markers, reminiscent of the frog’s underbelly, are coated in Neobrite, ensuring exceptional visibility in low-light dive environments. One of the watch’s standout design features is the titanium screw-lock case back, which incorporates a sapphire crystal lens treated with green vapour deposition — a subtle yet striking tribute to the amphibian’s eye.
