Medcare Home Healthcare redefines at-home medical services with capsule endoscopy, sleep studies, mental health care, and more.
Dubai: Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, under Aster DM Healthcare, has revolutionised in-home healthcare with its upgraded Medcare Home Healthcare services, offering UAE residents advanced medical procedures at their doorsteps.
Since its initial rollout in 2020, Medcare has expanded its offerings beyond standard home visits to now include advanced services such as capsule endoscopy, newborn and toddler sleep consulting, mental health support, IV therapy, and chronic disease management. This initiative aligns with rising demand for accessible care, especially among the elderly—a demographic projected to grow to 29% by 2050, according to DHA.
Delivered by over 300 DHA-certified professionals, Medcare’s services cover a broad spectrum—from maternity and newborn care to physiotherapy and primary care. One standout innovation is capsule endoscopy, allowing patients to undergo gastrointestinal examinations from home—no anaesthesia or hospital visit required.
Patients also benefit from home-based sleep studies, and virtual or in-person consultations with certified sleep consultants. This provides personalised support for families establishing healthier sleep routines for young children.
Mental health services have been extended to the home, offering counselling and psychiatric support in a safe, stigma-free environment. Home-based heart diagnostics, vaccinations, life-saving training, and chronic illness management further round out the offering.
Commenting on this milestone, Dr. Shanila Laiju, Group CEO, stated, “We are reimagining how healthcare can be delivered—meeting patients where they are without compromising quality.” Group Chief Nursing Officer Akanksha Dicholkar added, “We prioritise safety, comfort, and convenience while maintaining the highest clinical standards.”
Medcare plans to introduce aesthetic services next, continuing its mission to make world-class healthcare more accessible.
