DUBAI: Sankari marks a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of Regent Residences Dubai – Sankari Place, the first standalone Regent-branded residential development globally. Located in the prestigious Marasi Marina district, this landmark project is set to redefine waterfront living in Dubai.
The AED 1 billion main contract has been awarded to Al Basti & Muktha LLC, following successful enabling works by Dutch Foundations. Completion is scheduled within 34 months. Designed by Foster + Partners, the development will feature 63 full-floor residences, each with a private pool and expansive terraces, alongside 10 floating villas offering unmatched serenity on water.

Mark Phoenix, CEO of Sankari Properties, describes their upcoming ultra-luxury project as a legacy initiative, not just another development. “When I met Dr Sankari in 2023, he asked if I could help develop something extraordinary on a plot he purchased in 2018. After 40 years in successful retail, he wanted to create a landmark project, not just a business opportunity,” Phoenix explains.
Unlike typical Dubai developments, Sankari is not selling off-plan. “We’re fully self-financed, so we’re not forced to sell early. We’ll only go to market once the apartments are complete and speak for themselves,” he says, stressing the importance of delivering on promises.
“The project, managed by luxury hotel brand Regent, focuses on lifestyle and five-star service. With 55,000 sq ft of amenities—including indoor and outdoor pools, private dining, spa, gym, paddle courts, and cigar lounges—Phoenix says residents should never need to leave for daily needs.
