SHARJAH: The 8th edition of the Sharjah Investment Forum 2025 (SIF 2025) officially opens today at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, marking a significant milestone as it runs in partnership for the first time with the WAIPA World Investment Conference (WIC 2025). The joint global platform brings together more than 10,000 participants from 142 countries and features over 130 international speakers — including ministers, economic leaders, and senior policymakers.

Organised by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), in collaboration with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) and the UAE Ministry of Investment, this year’s forum is themed “Transforming Our World: Investing for a Resilient and Sustainable Future.” The event positions Sharjah as a global hub for future-focused investment strategies and international dialogue.

Dignitaries in attendance include Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations in Sharjah; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment; Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan; Miguel Medina, Minister of Investment Promotion of Honduras; and Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, Minister of Investment of Pakistan. They are joined by other key figures such as Osama Fadhel from the UAE Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology (MoIAT); Dr. James Zhan, Chairman of the WIC Executive Board; and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Raekwon Chung.

The forum’s agenda spans over 160 sessions and 120 bilateral meetings addressing emerging challenges and opportunities across sustainable finance, food security, and smart agriculture. Discussions also place strong emphasis on empowering SMEs and fostering public-private partnerships to support long-term economic resilience.

SIF 2025 enjoys the support of over 24 local and international partners, ranging from financial institutions and real estate firms to media houses and research centres. These collaborations highlight growing global confidence in Sharjah’s investment climate. By gathering thought leaders, innovators, and investors under one roof, the Sharjah Investment Forum 2025 is shaping bold, actionable strategies for future economic development.
