SHARJAH: The Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah has announced that it has completed preparations for the “Arabian Leopard Conservation Strategy” Conference, scheduled to be held from October 21 to 23 at Sharjah Safari. This important event is organised in collaboration with the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group.
The conference aims to shed light on international and regional initiatives focused on conserving the critically endangered Arabian Leopard, one of the rarest species in the Arabian Peninsula. It will feature scientific sessions led by prominent speakers and experts in Arabian Leopard conservation.

Participants will include representatives from the natural range countries of the Arabian Leopard, such as Oman, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. Attendees will address the key challenges facing the species in its natural habitat while exploring strategies to enhance future conservation efforts.
