Sharjah: H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has given the green light to the “Aquaculture Farm” project in Khorfakkan.
This approval marks a significant milestone, as it is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. Developed in collaboration with the University of Khorfakkan, including the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology, this pioneering initiative aims to fulfill educational, environmental, and sustainability objectives.
Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, the Chairman of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, shared the news of endorsement during an appearance on the Direct Line programme, which is aired by agencies.
