DUBAI: In the first half of 2024, Dubai Municipality saw a total of 16,391,748 visitors to its parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities. This is a big jump of 1.3 million visitors compared to last year.

Residential parks in Dubai attracted 10,613,996 visitors. The five major parks drew 3,146,480 visitors in total. Here’s a breakdown: Al-Mamzar Park had 1,000,755 visitors, Mushrif Park saw 874,201, Creek Park had 583,508, Za’abeel Park welcomed 545,335, and Al-Safa Park had 142,681.

The Quranic Park was visited by 1,037,402 people, and the Dubai Frame saw 827,000 visitors. About 623,904 people used the bike, mountain, and pedestrian paths. Stadiums attracted 89,385 visitors, and Children’s City had 53,578.

H.E. Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said these numbers show how popular and important Dubai’s parks and facilities are for both locals and tourists. He mentioned that the Municipality provides top-notch services and equipment, which is crucial for managing and improving these places.

Al Hajri added: “We’re committed to giving visitors a great experience and improving their quality of life. We offer well-managed facilities, organise events, and work on new leisure spaces. This helps make Dubai an attractive global travel spot.”

Dubai’s parks and recreational areas are easy to reach and offer 13 million spaces. They feature beautiful lawns, gardens, and designs for everyone to enjoy. The Municipality also provides extra services like parking, free seating and play areas, hiking spots, BBQ spaces, walking and running trails, bicycles, horse-riding areas, and sports courts.
