DUBAI: Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has unveiled details of Education 33 (E33), a strategy designed to revolutionise the city’s education system. Aisha Miran, KHDA Director General, shared that E33 aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to equip future generations with skills for a globalised world.

Launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, E33 is part of Dubai’s efforts to provide world-class education. Rooted in Emirati values while embracing Dubai’s diversity, the strategy focuses on personalised learning from early childhood through higher education, preparing students for success in an evolving job market.

Education 33 supports five strategic goals, including empowering Emirati students, ensuring accessible and inclusive education, promoting lifelong learning, and positioning Dubai as a top educational hub. With 28 ‘Game Changer’ initiatives, the strategy aims to improve education quality, boost the number of Emirati teachers, and increase education tourism by 2033.

E33’s key targets include a 90% parent satisfaction rate, 49,000 additional school seats, and attracting prestigious international universities. The strategy also promotes critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning. It was developed with input from over 700 participants, including educators, parents, students, and experts.

Ultimately, E33 aims to establish Dubai as one of the world’s top 10 cities for education by 2033, focusing on student wellbeing, innovation, and global standards.
