DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has resumed marine transport services for the Water Canal and Business Bay areas after completing enhancement works. This service, operating across two lines, connects key tourist attractions and residential zones, supporting both locals and visitors. The move is part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to improve Dubai’s public transport services, ensuring seamless integration with options like bicycles and e-scooters at nearby stations.

The resumed service highlights RTA’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure for waterfront developments, contributing to Dubai’s strategic goals of enhancing residents’ quality of life and boosting the city’s appeal to tourists. By improving access to these areas, the RTA also supports the growth of marine transport users, in line with the Marine Transport Plan 2020-2030.

The first line, DC2, operates from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sundays, with intervals between 30 and 50 minutes. It links stations at Waterfront, Marasi, Business Bay, Godolphin, and Sheikh Zayed Road, making it convenient for commuters traveling between these important business and leisure spots.
