DUBAI: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro under the theme “15 Years on Track.” This milestone will be marked with various promotional and entertainment activities, surprises, and initiatives designed to delight both residents and visitors.
The celebrations are supported by several sponsors and partners, including Keolis-MHI, the operator of Dubai Metro and Tram, as well as LEGO Middle East, LEGOLAND Dubai, IGLOO, Al Jaber Gallery, and Emirates Post.
As part of the festivities, Emirates Post will issue limited edition stamps dedicated to the anniversary, while the RTA will introduce a Special Edition nol Card featuring a unique design by LEGO Middle East. Al Jaber Gallery will offer special Metro-themed souvenirs for the occasion.
Additionally, LEGOLAND Dubai will host a celebration on 21 September 2024, specifically for “Metro Babies,” children born between 9th September 2009 and 9th September 2023. Parents can register their children for this event through the RTA’s website.
IGLOO will release limited edition ice creams shaped like the Dubai Metro, with 5,000 of these containing special codes that can be redeemed for nol Terhaal discount cards.
From 21st to 27th September, visitors to Dubai Metro stations can enjoy live musical performances as part of the 4th Dubai Metro Music Festival, organised by Brand Dubai. This event will showcase talent from both Emirati and international musicians, aiming to entertain and engage the public.
