The UAE introduced its first federally licensed lottery on Tuesday, offering a range of games, including a grand prize draw of AED 100 million. The UAE Lottery, operated by The Game LLC under licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), marks a significant step in the Gulf’s gaming sector.
The inaugural “Lucky Day” draw will take place on December 14, with tickets available to residents aged 18 and above through the lottery’s official website. In addition to the grand prize, seven participants will win AED 100,000 each through “Lucky Chance IDs.” Scratch cards priced between AED 5 and AED 50 offer winnings of up to AED 1 million, providing affordable entry options.
Bishop Woosley, Director of Lottery Operations at The Game LLC, shared the lottery’s vision: “Our mission is to inspire people to dream big, aligning with our slogan, ‘Dare to Imagine.’ We aim to create exciting experiences while promoting responsible play.”
The GCGRA highlighted its rigorous approval process, ensuring the lottery meets high regulatory standards. “The issuance of a Certificate of Operation follows a thorough evaluation process. Our framework prioritises consumer protection, game integrity, and responsible gaming practices,” said the GCGRA in a statement.
The authority also reaffirmed its commitment to overseeing fairness and transparency in all commercial gaming activities. The Game LLC received its licence in July after meeting these stringent requirements.
Tickets can be purchased through the official website, with multiple prize tiers and options catering to a wide range of participants. This development underscores the UAE’s commitment to regulated, responsible gaming.
