SHARJAH: The Digital Sharjah Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to launch a national initiative aimed at training government employees in Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills. This collaboration reflects Sharjah’s commitment to using advanced technology for community development and sustainable progress.

The initiative will provide AI training to employees across various government sectors, including executives, developers, and IT specialists. The goal is to enhance productivity and drive innovation by equipping personnel with the latest AI tools and knowledge.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of the Digital Sharjah Department, emphasized the importance of digital excellence aligned with Sharjah’s vision. He noted that the initiative with Microsoft would offer employees new opportunities to lead in the digital future with efficiency and creativity.

Naim Yazbeck, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, praised Sharjah’s history of technological innovation. He highlighted Microsoft’s AI National Skills Initiative as a key part of this legacy, aiming to empower government employees to develop AI solutions that improve public services. Yazbeck expressed pride in partnering with Digital Sharjah to support its bold vision for AI-driven transformation.
