Tommy Fleetwood clinched the DP World India Championship 2025 title with a final round surge at Delhi Golf Club. The DP World India Championship 2025 was the richest golf tournament in Indian history.

NEW DELHI: Great Britain’s Tommy Fleetwood delivered a masterclass in composure and skill to win the DP World India Championship 2025 on Sunday, marking a major milestone in his golf career. Held at the iconic Delhi Golf Club, the tournament was the most lucrative in Indian golf history and saw Fleetwood finish with a commanding 22-under-par score after a spectacular final round.

Trailing overnight leader Keita Nakajima of Japan by two shots, Fleetwood — the Paris 2024 Olympic silver medallist — mounted a powerful comeback on the final day, shooting seven under par to leap ahead of the field. The 34-year-old English golfer secured his eighth career win on the DP World Tour, and his first since the 2024 Dubai Invitational.

The DP World India Championship ran from October 16 to 19 and marked the DP World Tour’s long-awaited return to the Delhi Golf Club — its first visit since 2016. The venue, known for its heritage and challenging fairways, previously hosted the Indian Masters in 2008 and the Indian Open in 2015 and 2016.

This event also formed the eighth stop in the ‘Back 9’ phase of the 2025 Race to Dubai, a prestigious run-up to the DP World Tour Play-Offs and the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in November. Fleetwood’s victory here boosts his standing ahead of the final leg of the season.

The DP World India Championship 2025 has set a new benchmark for international golf in India, combining historic legacy, elite competition, and record prize purses — all against the backdrop of a reinvigorated Delhi Golf Club.
