The 2026 DP World Tour will feature 42 tournaments in 25 countries and offer a record $157.5 million prize fund.
DUBAI: The DP World Tour has officially announced its global tournament schedule for the 2026 season, promising an exciting year ahead with new events, high-profile venues, and a record prize pool of $157.5 million (excluding majors). The season will include 42 tournaments spread across 25 countries.
Structured around five ‘Global Swings’, the ‘Back 9’ segment, and the season-ending ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs’, the 2026 calendar showcases golf’s international reach and competitive depth. A major highlight is the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, set for May 7–10 at Real Club de Golf El Prat in Barcelona—a new addition to the European Swing and a nod to Spain’s upcoming hosting of the 2031 Ryder Cup.
Also featured is the return of the Genesis Scottish Open and the Amgen Irish Open, now moving to Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg. Other standout Rolex Series events include the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (January 22–25), BMW PGA Championship (September 17–20), Abu Dhabi Championship (November 5–8), and the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai (November 12–15), where the 2026 Race to Dubai Champion will be crowned.
Dubai will host three tournaments in total, including the returning Dubai Invitational from January 15–18. The schedule also integrates co-sanctioned events with the PGA TOUR, such as the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, marking its first inclusion in the Race to Dubai.
Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the DP World Tour, highlighted the global scope of the tour and its diverse venues, celebrating the growing international talent pool. The revised schedule also includes structural changes to membership pathways, including a reduction in Tour cards through the Qualifying School and updates to player ranking eligibility.
These adjustments aim to create more balanced opportunities and strengthen the competitiveness of the Tour. With its dynamic calendar and strategic reforms, the 2026 DP World Tour promises to deliver a compelling narrative for fans and players alike.
