Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, recently visited Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2024, an event hosted by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. This sports extravaganza runs until August 23, 2024, at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Spanning over 34,000 square meters, the event offers a variety of activities aimed at fostering community interaction and promoting a healthy lifestyle through group sports. It is open to people of all fitness levels, encouraging everyone to embrace sports as a regular part of their lives, thus enhancing overall quality of life.

During his visit, Sheikh Nahyan received a detailed briefing from Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, about the diverse lineup of activities featured in Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2024. This year’s event introduces new sports such as cricket, tennis, and an obstacle course, alongside established favorites like football, padel, a 1km running track, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and a dedicated fitness area.
Sheikh Nahyan also participated in table tennis, demonstrating his support for an active and healthy lifestyle as part of his promotion efforts.
Sheikh Nahyan commended the organizers for the event’s impeccable organization and their efforts to ensure an outstanding experience for all participants. He highlighted that Abu Dhabi Summer Sports embodies values of tolerance and brotherhood among people.
