UAE Team Emirates XRG visited Emirates HQ in Dubai, celebrating a landmark season and their global cycling victories with staff.
DUBAI: After wrapping up a record-breaking year on the international cycling circuit, UAE Team Emirates XRG made a celebratory stop at Emirates Group Headquarters in Dubai. Led by Tadej Pogačar, the world’s number one cyclist and four-time Tour de France champion, the team was welcomed by Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, and greeted by employees—many of them avid cycling fans.
Joining Pogačar were top-tier riders João Almeida, Florian Vermeersch, Jay Vine, Johnatan Narváez, and Tim Wellens. Also present was Mauro Gianetti, the team’s CEO. Their visit was part of a broader celebration of a milestone season filled with victories on the UCI World Tour calendar.
The atmosphere at the headquarters was one of admiration and excitement as Emirates staff mingled with the athletes and commemorated their shared journey. This event further highlighted the deep bond between the airline and the team, a relationship that began in 2017 when Emirates became the co-title sponsor. That partnership was further solidified earlier this year with a renewed sponsorship deal.
UAE Team Emirates XRG has grown into a dominant force in the sport, and the visit served as a reminder of the team’s role in putting the UAE on the global cycling map. It also reflected Emirates’ commitment to supporting international sports and wellness initiatives.
To round off the celebrations, the team will host a public community ride at Al Hudayriat Island on 30 October, inviting residents and cycling fans to join in marking their standout season.
