Emirates’ Aircrafted KIDS initiative has provided over 800 school backpacks to Jordanian children, reinforcing its commitment to education and empowerment.

AMMAN: Emirates has delivered a powerful message of support to Jordan’s youth through its “Aircrafted KIDS” initiative, donating 834 handcrafted school backpacks filled with essential supplies to children across the country. This humanitarian campaign is part of the airline’s broader mission to promote educational access and uplift underserved communities.

Distributed to four Jordanian organisations—SOS Children’s Villages, Madrasati Initiative, Jewels, and Al-Hussein Social Foundation Society—the unique backpacks are part of Emirates’ limited-edition ‘Aircrafted by Emirates’ collection. These sustainable bags are made from over 50,000 kg of upcycled aircraft materials from the airline’s refurbished Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 cabins, handcrafted by Emirates Engineering’s skilled artisans.

“Education is a fundamental driver of progress, and through Aircrafted KIDS, we want to help children build a better future,” said Mohammad Bin Hafiz, Emirates’ Country Manager for Jordan and the West Bank. “Our relationship with Jordan dates back to 1986, and we’re proud to invest in its future.”

Tala Sweis, Director of the Madrasati Initiative, praised the programme for delivering not just supplies, but also “hope, joy, and a sense of responsibility.” Similarly, Areej Khatib of SOS Children’s Villages highlighted the symbolic importance of each bag as “the beginning of a dream.”

This initiative reflects Emirates’ broader philanthropic footprint, having already donated more than 3,700 backpacks in 10 countries including Pakistan, Egypt, India, and Ethiopia. By launching Aircrafted KIDS in Jordan, Emirates is not only connecting cities but also empowering communities, one child at a time.
