The UAE is monitoring Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions and has called for restraint, urging diplomatic efforts to maintain South Asia’s stability.
ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates has issued a formal statement urging restraint and de-escalation in response to the recent developments between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasised the importance of avoiding actions that could increase tensions in the South Asia region.
The UAE’s statement comes at a time of heightened geopolitical sensitivities in the region. It stressed the necessity of employing diplomacy and dialogue to resolve bilateral issues peacefully. “The UAE affirms the importance of prioritising wisdom and diplomatic means to enhance regional security and stability,” the ministry said.
