UAE to host Pakistan and Afghanistan in a T20I Tri-Series at Sharjah Stadium from 29 August to 7 September 2025. Seven matches, including a final, to be played.

Sharjah: UAE T20I Tri-Series action is set to unfold as the Emirates prepares to host Pakistan and Afghanistan in a seven-match tournament at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, starting Friday, 29 August 2025. Organised ahead of the ACC Asia Cup, the Tri-Series will serve as a key preparatory platform for all three participating nations.

The group stage will see each team play the others twice, with six matches leading up to the grand final on Sunday, 7 September. All fixtures are scheduled for a 7:00pm start at the iconic Sharjah venue.

The tournament begins with Afghanistan taking on Pakistan on 29 August. UAE plays their opening game against Pakistan on Saturday, 30 August. Other key clashes include Afghanistan vs UAE on Monday, 1 September and Tuesday, 2 September’s rematch between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pakistan’s second fixture against UAE is on Thursday, 4 September, while the final group-stage match—Afghanistan vs UAE—is slated for Friday, 5 September.

The top two teams will meet in the 7 September final, which also kicks off at 7:00pm.

This Tri-Series presents a valuable opportunity for teams to test their squads and tactics in match conditions similar to the upcoming Asia Cup, which begins in the UAE on 9 September.
