SHARJAH: Sharjah’s famous spot, Al Noor Island, has clinched a top 10 spot in the Middle East on TripAdvisor’s ‘Best of the Best’ list for 2024, a title it also won last year. Managed by Sharjah’s Shurooq, it blends nature, art, and fun, delighting visitors since its inception.
Al Noor Island stands out as a premier destination in Sharjah, renowned for its unique blend of natural beauty, artistic expression, and entertainment. Situated in the heart of Khalid Lagoon, this island oasis offers a serene escape amidst the bustling cityscape.
Managed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Al Noor Island has consistently captivated visitors since its inception. It features lush gardens adorned with exotic plants and trees, carefully curated to create a tranquil atmosphere. The island’s design seamlessly integrates art installations, interactive exhibits, and outdoor sculptures that enhance the visitor experience.
Another Sharjah gem, the Mleiha Archaeological Centre, known for its rich natural and historical sites, scored the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for the seventh year straight. Likewise, Al Montazah Parks, famous for thrilling water rides, also bagged the Traveler’s Choice Award 2024.
Mahmoud Rashid Deemas, Shurooq’s Director of Operations and Tourism Development, expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it reflects their commitment to crafting exceptional experiences. “The positive feedback from travelers motivates us to aim higher,” he added.
