Dubai Design Week 2025 will run from November 4–9, with its biggest programme yet, themed around community and creativity.

DUBAI: Dubai Design Week will celebrate its 11th edition from November 4–9 2025, unveiling its biggest programme yet with a strong focus on community. Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, the festival will once again transform Dubai Design District (d3) into a global creative hub.

The theme ‘Community’ is in line with the UAE’s wider Year of Community initiative, exploring design not just as innovation but as a cultural connector and social force. Since its launch in 2015, Dubai Design Week has grown into the Middle East’s leading design festival, bringing together global creatives to exchange ideas, showcase new concepts, and celebrate cultural diversity.

The 2025 programme will include Urban Commissions, an international competition inviting designers and architects to reimagine the courtyard as a space for social connection. Abwab 2025, a long-running highlight, will expand to welcome participants from across Asia and Africa, focusing on the theme ‘In the Details’.

Visitors can expect a mix of exhibitions, installations, workshops, activations, and a vibrant marketplace featuring independent makers and regional entrepreneurs. Downtown Design, returning to the d3 Waterfront Terrace from November 5–9, will spotlight major international brands including Lasvit, Kartell, Poltrona Frau, and Roche Bobois, alongside regional studios and immersive showcases. The event will also host talks from industry leaders, including British designer Tom Dixon in his Dubai debut.

Following a successful 2024 launch, Editions Art & Design will return from 6–9 November, showcasing collectible art and design pieces from international and regional galleries. Meanwhile, the d3 Architecture Exhibition, in partnership with RIBA, will highlight how architecture and design can help strengthen communities.

With more than a thousand designers, brands, and creatives expected, Dubai Design Week 2025 is set to reaffirm the city’s role as a global meeting point for creativity, collaboration, and cultural innovation.
