Dubai: Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has unveiled two stunning new murals in Al Quoz Creative Zone as part of the ongoing Dubai Public Art Strategy, reinforcing the city’s vision of becoming an open-air art gallery and a global centre for culture.

Created by three female artists, the murals reflect the distinct energy and diversity of Al Quoz. Egyptian muralist Rabab Tantawy’s piece, Vibrant Voices of Al Quoz, brings to life the neighbourhood’s sensory identity with scenes of spice stalls, Arabic coffee pots, and intricate architecture, painted on the façade of Aramtec.

On the façade of WooHoo, an interactive children’s museum, Emirati artist Hend Al Murid collaborates with Syrian muralist Dina Saadi on Wonder Windows. Their whimsical artwork features cultural icons like the Hudhud bird, the dalla, and Emirati ornamental motifs, aiming to stir curiosity and nostalgia.

Shaima Rashid Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Arts, Design & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, said the Al Quoz murals are a welcome addition to an area known for nurturing young talent. “We are committed to creating a sustainable creative environment that reflects the UAE’s unique cultural identity,” she added.

Mozah Lootah, Dubai Public Art Project Manager, highlighted how the initiative empowers local artists. “The murals foster dialogue, attract tourism, and reimagine public spaces as cultural landmarks,” she noted.

With these Al Quoz murals, Dubai continues to spotlight local creativity and global cultural dialogue, positioning the city as a vibrant, accessible hub for the arts.
