Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, is all set to release on August 14, 2025. It is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year, and reportedly, the movie is made on a budget of Rs. 350–400 crore (AED 154–176 million). Well, a major chunk of the budget has surely gone into the cast fees. According to a report in Deccan Herald, the actors of the film have received hefty pay cheques.
Rajinikanth
Reportedly, Rajinikanth was paid Rs. 150 crore (AED 66 million) for the film. But, looking at the pre-sales, the producers revised his fees, and he is now getting Rs. 200 crore (AED 88 million).
Nagarjuna
Telugu star Nagarjuna plays a pivotal role in Coolie, and according to the report, he has received Rs. 10 crore (AED 4.4 million) for the film.
Aamir Khan
According to reports, Aamir has a cameo in the film. Reportedly, the actor has charged a whopping amount of Rs. 20 crore (AED 8.8 million) for his 15–20 minute role.
Upendra
Kannada star Upendra also plays a pivotal role in the film. Reportedly, just like Aamir he has a cameo and has charged Rs. 4 crore (AED 1.76 million) for it.
Shruti Haasan
Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in Coolie. According to the report, she has received a pay cheque of Rs. 4 crore (AED 1.76 million).
Pooja Hegde
Shruti, who plays the female lead in the film, has reportedly got Rs. 4 crore (AED 1.76 million), and Pooja Hegde, who features in just one song, Monica, has reportedly charged Rs. 3 crore (AED 1.32 million).
Soubin Shahir
According to the report, Soubin Shahir is the least paid in the lead cast. He received Rs. 1 crore (AED 440,000) for Coolie.
Sathyaraj
Famously known for his role as Kattappa in the Baahubali franchise, Sathyaraj plays a pivotal role in Coolie as well. He has reportedly received Rs. 5 crore (AED 2.2 million) for the film.
Lokesh Kanagaraj
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has given back-to-back hits, has reportedly charged Rs. 50 crore (AED 22 million) for the film. The audience has a lot of expectations from Coolie.
Anirudh Ravichander
Anirudh Ravichander, who has composed songs for the film, has reportedly been given Rs. 15 crore (AED 6.6 million). Are you ready to witness his music on the big screens?
If we calculate the above amount, then Rs. 252 crore (AED 110.88 million) has gone into the fees of the actors, director, and music composer.
