ABU DHABI: At the recent IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi, Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor award for his role in Jawan. Khan, who also hosted the event, expressed his gratitude during his acceptance speech, saying, “It’s good to be back. I’m extremely grateful for this award. I love awards, I’m greedy about awards… I’m genuinely back and I’m really happy to end the year like this.”
While Jawan was a major hit last year, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, took home the Best Picture award. This decision sparked debate among fans, as some questioned the logic behind awarding Khan for Jawan over Kapoor’s performance in Animal.

Alongside Khan, Bobby Deol was recognized for his role in Animal, winning the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. Anil Kapoor also received an award for Best Supporting Actor. Kapoor missed the ceremony to celebrate his 42nd birthday with family.
Animal also garnered accolades for its music, with awards going to composers Pritam, Vishal Mishra, and others. The song “Arjan Vailly” earned Best Playback Singer (Male) for Bhupinder Babbal, who also won Best Lyrics for “Satranga.”
