Kannada ZEE5 will stream Shodha, a six-episode suspense thriller starring Pawan Kumar, from August 29, 2025.
Kannada audiences are set for a gripping new OTT release as Kannada ZEE5 announces the premiere of its latest original web series, Shodha, streaming worldwide from 29 August 2025. Directed by Sunil Mysuru and produced by KRG Studios, the psychological crime thriller unfolds across six episodes, featuring Pawan Kumar, Siri Ravikumar, Arun Sagar, and Anusha Ranganath in pivotal roles.
The story follows Rohit (Pawan Kumar), a brilliant but morally conflicted lawyer whose life takes a shocking turn when he fails to recognise his own wife. The series combines suspense, psychological twists, and intense performances, promising to keep viewers hooked till the very end.
Speaking at the Bengaluru press meet, Deepak Sriramulu, Business Head of Kannada ZEE5, said:
“Shodha represents the strength of Kannada storytelling and the growing scope of OTT platforms. After the success of Ayyana Mane, we are excited to bring audiences a fresh and powerful narrative in collaboration with KRG Studios and talented creators.”
KRG Studios’ Karthik Gowda revealed that the project came together with contributions from multiple creative talents, including writer Suhas Navarathna, known for his work on The Family Man 2 & 3. Director Sunil Mysuru later joined, shaping the story into a taut thriller.
Actor Pawan Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for experimenting with complex roles on OTT, stating:
“OTT gives us the freedom to explore new stories in Kannada. Shodha has given me the chance to try something very different, and I hope it opens doors for more regional content on a global stage.”
Produced by KRG Studios and written by Suhas Navarathna, Shodha has already generated strong buzz with its trailer. The series will be available to stream on Kannada ZEE5 Global from August 29, 2025.
