Jurassic World Rebirth is a 2025 science fiction film and the fourth movie of the Jurassic World movie series, directed by Gareth Edwards.
A FRESH CAST
The latest instalment to the Jurassic World franchise has brought on a new cast unlike its predecessor movies, led by Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey. This movie was intended to be a soft launch of the same franchise and does a decent job of the same by going back to the basics. Johansson plays a skilled operative and Bailey, a palaeontologist, comes together on a mission to obtain dinosaur samples.
IMPRESSIVE CGI AND VISUALS
Without a doubt, the movie is visually beautiful, blending both live action and CGI. This is even more impressive in the case of Jurassic World Rebirth as the entire movie was shot on Kodak film and panavision lenses. In an age where digital filmmaking is more popular, the movie chose to stand out and pays homage to the original Jurassic Park movie that came out in 1993.
A SOFT REBOOT
While fans of the franchise are mostly of the opinion that the movies have begun to lose its spark compared to the initial films, Jurassic World Rebirth serves as a soft reboot of the film franchise by bringing in entirely new characters, paying tribute to the original. The movie follows a similar plotline to Jurassic Park, with experts and an innocent family stranded and left to navigate the dinosaur infested island by themselves.
While the movie doesn’t offer anything new or unique in comparison to the others, it still served to remind the audience of the franchise’ initial roots.
