SHARJAH: The 20th International Education Show began today at Expo Centre Sharjah, featuring over 125 universities and institutions from more than 20 countries. Organised by Expo Sharjah and supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the four-day event is a major higher education exhibition in the UAE.

Ahmed Mohamed Obaid Al Naboodah, Board Member at SCCI, officially opened the show, joined by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah. Attendees toured various stands, meeting representatives from UAE and international universities to explore academic programmes.
The event offers students and parents a wide range of higher education opportunities from institutions in countries like Canada, the UK, Bahrain, Malaysia, India, and Cyprus. UAE universities are also well represented, showcasing the latest programmes.
Al Naboodah highlighted the Chamber’s pride in supporting the show for 20 years, noting its role in promoting education and boosting Sharjah’s economic and social development through collaboration between education and the private sector.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa added that the show connects local and international institutions with students, showcasing Sharjah’s growing reputation as a hub for education.

The event offers a broad selection of academic programmes, including medicine, engineering, and business administration, aligning with the job market’s needs. Visitors can also learn about scholarships, admission criteria, and specialisations in demand.
The show runs Wednesday and Thursday from 08:00 to 14:00 and Friday and Saturday from 15:00 to 21:00.
