DUBAI: The Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend is gearing up for an even more spectacular return in 2025, running from November 13–16 at the iconic Meydan Racecourse. Organised by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) in collaboration with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), the event promises to be ‘bigger and better’ following its 2024 success.

Registration is now open for amateur athletes, who can choose between the challenging 100km race (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) or the shorter Sprint distance (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run). Enthusiasts can sign up via the official T100 website, with slots filling up quickly.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, highlighted the event’s alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), stating that such world-class sports events enhance Dubai’s appeal as a top-tier destination for global tourism, business, and leisure.

Eisa Sharif, Director of Sports Events at DSC, confirmed that the 2025 edition will introduce new features, including a Schools Event and a Corporate Relay, to increase community engagement. The 2024 debut saw nearly 10,000 amateurs participate, alongside top international athletes including Olympic champions and reigning T100 World Champions Marten Van Riel and Taylor Knibb.

Sam Renouf, CEO of the PTO, celebrated Dubai’s position as a “bucket-list” triathlon destination and announced plans to expand access for both amateur and corporate participants. The Dubai leg will be a highlight of the 2025 T100 World Tour, which has already made stops in Singapore, San Francisco, and Vancouver.

With its combination of elite competition, grassroots involvement, and Dubai’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, the Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend is set to be a standout on the global sports calendar.
