The Guardians of Water Festival at Terra, Expo City Dubai brings two weekends of family-friendly fun, inspiring kids to protect water.
DUBAI: Dive into a celebration of Earth’s most vital resource at the Guardians of Water Festival, hosted over two weekends—30–31 August and 6–7 September—at Terra, Expo City Dubai. This family-focused event is packed with imaginative experiences, educational workshops, and interactive storytelling—all designed to help young minds understand the importance of protecting water.
With the rising global temperatures, water scarcity has become a critical issue. The festival invites children and adults alike to discover innovative water-saving techniques while immersing themselves in hands-on adventures. “Water is not just precious, it is life itself,” said Marjan Faraidooni, Chief of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai. “This festival inspires families to protect every drop for generations to come.”
Young visitors will enjoy engaging storytelling sessions from acclaimed authors Kathy Urban and Beverly Jatwani, who will take them on magical journeys through freshwater habitats. Families can then take part in hands-on activities including water filtration experiments, building traditional Falaj irrigation systems, creative colouring stations, and even a round of Freshwater Heroes Bingo.
The Heritage Corner offers insights into Gulf desalination technologies and how animals like camels survive in desert climates. A guided tour is also included, featuring the Laboratory of Future Values—a space dedicated to sustainable water innovation.
Tickets are AED 50 for adults, with free entry for children under 12.
