IGCF 2025 returns to Sharjah this September, highlighting how communication drives quality of life across public sectors.
SHARJAH: The International Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2025), scheduled for 10–11 September at Expo Centre Sharjah, is set to spotlight how effective communication can significantly improve quality of life. Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), the forum carries the theme “Communication for Quality of Life” and aims to redefine how government narratives impact human well-being.
IGCF 2025 will host over 237 global experts in 51 sessions and more than 110 activities, including panel discussions, workshops, and dialogue platforms. The sessions will explore diverse themes such as education, food security, media, public awareness, urban planning, and youth empowerment—all connected by the central idea of communication’s influence on better living.
A highlight session, “Human Stories in Education and Life,” will examine how real-life narratives influence education policies and inspire communities. Speakers include Katie Merx and Amaj Rahimi-Midani, who will share insights into storytelling as a tool for policy impact.
On the global challenge of food security, a panel by ICESCO titled “Quality of Life and Government Communication at the Heart of Crises” will address how communication can stabilise societies during crises. HE Osama Heikal and moderator Yousif Al Hammadi will explore how trusted messaging supports food policy acceptance and community resilience.
In “Who Shapes Awareness?” hosted by Sharjah24, leading media voices will discuss the responsibilities of governments versus communication agencies in shaping public perceptions. Similarly, a dialogue led by Deraya Speakers featuring Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi will delve into how impactful messages can promote healthier lifestyles and community participation.
A youth-focused session will explore how Emirati youth can produce meaningful content using social media and AI while upholding societal values and countering misinformation. Meanwhile, Sharjah’s sustainable urban vision will be highlighted in a real estate panel discussing how property development contributes to public health, community bonding, and eco-conscious living.
Spanning topics from AI to sustainability, IGCF 2025 solidifies its role as a transformative forum, where policy, communication, and innovation intersect to enhance human life. To register and explore the full schedule, visit igcf.sgmb.ae.
