DUBAI: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has opened registration for its Summer Space Explorer Camp 2024. This camp is for young space enthusiasts aged 11 to 15 and aims to spark their curiosity, creativity, and interest in space science.
The boys’ camp will take place from August 5-8, and the girls’ camp from August 12-15. Both camps offer a 4-day adventure filled with space-related workshops, activities, and exciting sessions designed to inspire and educate.
Participants will dive into the world of space science and exploration. They will learn how robots perform important tasks in space, like exploring other planets and assisting astronauts on the ISS. Kids will also have the chance to try out some simple robotic activities themselves.
They’ll discover missions to the Moon and Mars, two of the most important areas in space that scientists are currently exploring. There will be sessions on what it’s like to be an astronaut, including the training and planning that goes into space missions. Kids will get to design their own space missions, learn how astronauts communicate with Earth, and even create space-themed art to imagine the future of space travel. The camp mixes learning with fun, designed to inspire young explorers.
Guided by experienced leaders and team members from MBRSC, the camp offers a hands-on experience showcasing the realities of space exploration. Participants will also get an exclusive tour of MBRSC’s state-of-the-art facilities, giving them a unique look into the heart of space research and innovation in the UAE.
