DUBAI: The third Dubai Future Forum is set for November 19-20, 2024, at the Museum of the Future. Hosted under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this major event, organised by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), is the world’s largest gathering for futurists, attracting over 2,500 experts from around 100 countries. Roughly 100 institutions focused on future studies will be represented.
DFF’s Vice Chairman, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, highlighted the forum’s role as a hub for innovative dialogue. It brings together futurists, decision-makers, and experts to address challenges, discuss opportunities, and develop strategic plans for the future. “The forum has become a global centre for partnerships in future studies,” Al Gergawi noted, adding that it drives initiatives leveraging new technologies to tackle societal challenges.
The 2024 edition will explore five main themes: Futuring Nature, Empowering Generations, Transforming Humanity, Optimising Health, and Foresight Insights. Key topics include energy, food, digital economy, space, biomedicine, sustainability, and more. The event will host around 70 sessions, including panels, keynotes, and workshops, featuring over 150 speakers from diverse sectors like government, academia, and industry.
A special feature, Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity, led by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will showcase 100 innovative projects addressing global issues. Supported by the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation, this initiative strengthens Dubai’s role as a hub for future-thinking talent and innovation.
New events and workshops, including those at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) and CodersHQ, will equip participants with essential skills to forecast and prepare for emerging trends.
Since last year’s event, which saw 36 institutions from 17 countries join the Global Future Society, the forum has solidified the Museum of the Future as a global base for futurists, enhancing Dubai’s standing in advancing global collaborations for a better future.
