Dubai: On Monday, Emirates Airline granted employees a bonus worth 20 weeks’ salary.
This bonus, to be included in May salaries, celebrates Emirates’ exceptional financial performance in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, with record profits of Dhs18.7 billion and revenues of Dhs137.30 billion.
Furthermore, the airline’s workforce has grown by 10 percent to 112,406 employees, marking its largest workforce ever, with every staff member receiving a bonus.
These remarkable achievements coincide with Emirates’ recognition as a Certified Autism Centre for its efforts in improving accessibility at check-in counters for people with autism.
This designation, received before World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, acknowledges Emirates’ commitment to inclusivity in travel.
All Dubai check-in facilities, including those at terminal three in Dubai International Airport (DXB) and inner-city locations, have received this certification.
These facilities, such as Emirates City Check-in and Travel Store in DIFC, Emirates Cruise Check-In at Port Rashid and Dubai Harbour, and Emirates City Check-In in Ajman, provide stress-free environments for customers to book, drop off luggage, and utilize robot-assisted check-ins up to 24 hours in advance.
Moreover, Emirates staff have undergone specialized training on autism and sensory awareness to better cater to the needs of autistic travelers and those with sensory sensitivities.
