In 2023, a new law in Saudi Arabia was approved to change how citizenship is granted. The Prime Minister could give citizenship to a person born to a Saudi mother and a foreign father can apply for citizenship if they meet these conditions:

  1. They must be over 18 years old.
  2. They need to speak Arabic well.
  3. They must have good behavior and a good reputation.
  4. They should not have been in jail for more than six months.

This change was made so that skilled people in law, medicine, science, culture, sports, and technology can become citizens. It was meant to help the country grow and improve in many different areas.

In essence, granting Saudi citizenship to these outstanding individuals is a significant step toward building a diverse community of experts dedicated to advancing Saudi Arabia’s leadership in various global arenas.
