Two long-time Bangladeshi residents in the UAE struck big at Big Ticket Abu Dhabi, with one winning AED 20 million and the other a Range Rover Velar.

ABU DHABI: The latest Big Ticket Abu Dhabi Series 279 draw has transformed the lives of two Bangladeshi expatriates who have lived in the UAE for decades. Harun Sarder Nur Nobi Sarder, a 44-year-old taxi driver based in Abu Dhabi, won the AED 20 million grand prize, while Mohammad Saiful Islam Ahamad Nabi, a 43-year-old spare parts worker in Sharjah, drove away in a Range Rover Velar.

Harun, who has called Abu Dhabi home for the past 15 years, has been buying Big Ticket entries every month since 2009. “When I got the winning call, my reaction was a 10, and I was over the moon,” he shared, adding that while he hasn’t decided how to use his prize money yet, he will continue to participate in future draws. “With Big Ticket, no dream is ever too far,” he said.

For Saiful, who has lived in Sharjah for 25 years, the win was also a dream come true. Having regularly bought tickets for three to four years—sometimes pooling with friends—he finally struck gold by winning a luxury Range Rover Velar. “I’m extremely happy. This was written in my luck,” he said, vowing to keep playing.

October promises even bigger prizes, with an AED 25 million grand prize awaiting its winner at the November 3rd live draw. Additionally, five weekly winners will each receive 250 grams of 24-karat gold, and customers who purchase two tickets between October 1 and 24 will enter The Big Win Contest, with cash prizes up to AED 150,000.

Big Ticket customers also stand a chance to win luxury cars, with a Nissan Patrol up for grabs on November 3 and a Maserati Grecale on December 3.

Tickets are available at www.bigticket.ae and sales counters at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
