Dubai Chamber reaches 20 countries through trade missions under the New Horizons initiative to boost global expansion. The Dubai Chamber trade missions also support the D33 agenda.
TBILISI/DUBAI: Dubai Chamber of Commerce has reached a key milestone in its internationalisation drive, expanding trade missions to 20 countries worldwide under the “New Horizons” initiative. Launched in 2023, the programme is designed to support Dubai-based businesses in accessing new markets, particularly across Asia and Africa.
Speaking at the recent mission to Georgia, Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, said the initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Global strategy, which aim to connect Dubai to 30 priority markets. The Chamber’s presence in Georgia included 15 Dubai-based companies, participating in bilateral business meetings to explore commercial and investment opportunities.
Alshamsi emphasised Dubai’s role as a launchpad for global expansion, citing its strong infrastructure, business-friendly regulations, and strategic global connectivity. He noted that non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia reached US$761 million in 2024 — up 58% from the year before — signalling deepening economic ties.
As of June 2025, the Dubai Chamber had registered 114 active Georgian companies, with 16 new members joining in the first half of this year alone. Georgia’s strategic location, liberal economic policies, and investor-friendly environment make it an ideal partner for Dubai companies seeking international expansion.
Through the Dubai Chamber trade missions, member companies gain access to tailored workshops, direct meetings with foreign counterparts, and market-entry insights. These missions are key tools in achieving the emirate’s ambition to become a hub for global trade and entrepreneurship.
