DUBAI: Two lucky Dubai Duty Free winners—one from Pakistan and the other from India—have just become dollar millionaires in the latest Millennium Millionaire draw at Dubai International Airport.

Mr. Muhammad Gumman, a Pakistani national living in Saudi Arabia, won US$1 million in Series 498 with ticket number 2990. Though currently unreachable, Gumman becomes the 26th Pakistani winner since the draw began in 1999.

Joining him in the millionaire club is Mr. Biju Therool, a 49-year-old Indian national and longtime Dubai resident. Therool won Series 499 with ticket number 0437, bought at Terminal 2 on his way to Kerala. “Thank you very much Dubai Duty Free. I’m so happy with this win!” said Therool, who has participated in the promotion for five years.

Therool is now the 248th Indian winner—making Indians the largest group of Dubai Duty Free winners historically.

The winning streak didn’t stop at cash. The Finest Surprise draw saw three more winners walk away with luxury vehicles. Dutch national Mr. Albert Walraven won a Range Rover SE P360, his second car from the promotion—having previously bagged a Porsche 911 in 2012.

Meanwhile, Pakistani national Mr. Saadullah Malik, based in Riyadh, won a Land Rover Defender 110 V8. A father of three, Malik said, “Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this opportunity. I can’t wait to see my winning car.”

Finally, Indian expat Mr. Soma Nagaraj claimed an Indian 101 Scout motorbike in Series 621, rounding out the latest group of lucky Dubai Duty Free winners.

The draw continues to attract global participants, offering life-changing prizes to frequent travelers and online buyers alike.
