DUBAI: Emirates has announced plans to hire over 1,500 pilots over the next two years, marking World Pilots’ Day with a bold step toward its global growth strategy. This move reinforces its commitment to the aviation community and strengthens its world-class flight crew of over 4,600 aviators.

The airline’s Accelerated Command programme, which promotes First Officers to Captains in record time, continues to thrive, with over 80 pilots progressing through this fast-track initiative.

Emirates operates the world’s youngest and most modern fleet of 261 wide-body aircraft, including Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and its newest addition, the Airbus A350. Pilots fly to more than 148 destinations worldwide — from major hubs like San Francisco and Sydney to idyllic getaways like Mauritius and the Maldives — across six continents and all types of terrain.

New recruits will enjoy one of the most enviable work environments in aviation: unmatched aerial views, a tax-free competitive salary, profit-sharing, a provident fund, and extensive retirement and health benefits. Emirates continues to set the bar high with its curated pilot experience.

The airline is hiring for four pilot programmes: Direct Entry Captains, Accelerated Command, First Officers Type Rated and Non-Type Rated. Since 2022, Emirates has onboarded nearly 2,000 pilots. This year alone, they plan to recruit over 550 pilots and will hold roadshows in over 40 cities, including upcoming stops in Norway, Finland and Sweden in May.

With expansion on the horizon and a strong support system in place, Emirates is setting new standards for pilot careers worldwide.
