DUBAI: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the annual Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity initiative is set to convene from 17‑20 November 2025, bringing together top academic talent and innovators from universities worldwide. With more than 3,000 entries from 120 countries and over 1,200 universities, the digital call attracted participants from institutions including Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, and MIT, as well as first‑time entrants from Bolivia, Rwanda and Uzbekistan.
Five finalists—selected from students, recent graduates and professors—will be honoured during the awards ceremony. For the shortlisted 100 projects, the Dubai Future Solutions programme offers access to government policy‑makers, industry leaders, venture experts and funding opportunities, helping innovators translate their ideas into scalable solutions. Participants will exhibit at AREA 2071, Emirates Towers Boulevard, alongside the 4th edition of the Dubai Future Forum, and explore themes across healthcare, agriculture, water, energy, mobility and civil society.
The programme’s legacy spans over a decade, reinforcing academia’s essential role in addressing global challenges. His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, noted that the platform unites government, academia and innovators to transform problems into opportunities.
